Originals vs Prints
What is an Original Oil Painting?
My original oil paintings are a one-of-a-kind piece of art, painted on canvas, linen, or board. I choose to paint in oils because they offer a better intensity of color and can be in a bright room without fading.
What is a Giclée Print?
The giclée printing process became available in the late 1980’s and quickly became the new standard for high quality Fine Art Prints. My reproductions are created with archival “100 year” ink, on acid free Epson Ultra-Premium paper to insure their lasting beauty. I am fortunate to have had the same master printer for 20 years and my Prints are always of the highest quality.
My giclée Prints are personally signed by me. The image is 11x14 inches, printed on ample sheets of 13x19 inch paper that can easily be trimmed to fit your choice of mat and frame.
What is a Giclée on Canvas?
The same high-quality Fine Art Giclée Reproductions can be created for you on canvas. These are special orders. They are professionally sealed and there is no need for glass over the canvas print, giving it the look of an original painting. They are Gallery Wrapped (wrapped around) on stretcher bars that are 9/16” deep. The canvas sides are printed in a neutral color, making the work suitable for display with or without a frame. Please inquire about the sizes available and the price of a specific image on canvas. They are individually made to your specifications.
Do you offer Commission options to paint an Original Oil customized for me?
Customers often request an original piece of artwork specifically created for them. My pricing for Commissions is similar to that of the Original Paintings represented on this site. A commissioned work of art may be the perfect solution for you.

How do I place an order?
Click on the artwork you wish to order to open up the website page for that specific piece. Add the product(s) you wish to order to your shopping cart by clicking the "Add to Cart" button located next to the product image. When you are ready to complete your order, click the shopping cart icon and follow the instructions. As an alternative you may also complete your order by calling us at 480-463-4303.
Do you take International Orders?
We do not currently take international orders or deliver internationally directly from the website at this time. If you would like to arrange for a purchase please contact us at email@example.com
How do I purchase a Commission, a Giclée on Canvas or an alternative-sized Print?

What payment options do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept PayPal and Apple Pay.
Can I cancel my order?
To cancel an order that has not yet shipped, have your order number available and call 480-463-4303 to process the cancellation. We are unable to process cancellations for items that have already been processed for shipment. Please read the Returns section of the FAQ’s and call 480-463-4303 or send an email to email@example.com with questions.
How do I buy a Gift Certificate?
You can purchase a gift certificate. It can be used for an art purchase, as a workshop fee or a gift of art lessons. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 480-463-4303. Included with the purchase of the printed Gift Certificate is a Virginia Brooks Fine Art card you can use when you give the gift.
Shipping & Delivery
How Are Original Paintings Shipped?
I have excellent local shipping agents who ship my original paintings. PostNet, in far North Scottsdale, are specialists in shipping Original Paintings. They use shipping rated cartons that have a 200 pound crush factor rating.
I deliver the artwork you have purchased directly to PostNet. They personally coordinate with you about your mailing address, the insurance you desire, the timing for your delivery, tracking, and they give you your shipping price. If you have any questions about the status of your order you can reach them at (480)-488-9972. Original Oils can be shipped to a P.O. Box if required. Please allow 4 days for processing before shipping can take place.
How Are Giclée Prints Shipped?
FREE SHIPPING is included in the $75 price for 11x14 giclée prints on paper. I personally package and ship the giclée prints. I send them in flat mailing envelopes, by US Priority Mail. They are protected with heavy duty cardboard and are fully insured.
When you place an order for a giclée print we usually have it in stock and can ship it within 4 days after your order is received, once your payment is fully processed. Priority mail takes 2-3 business days to deliver to most of the continental United States. Please contact us if you need express delivery at email@example.com or 480-463-4303 and we will work with you directly.
If a print is back-ordered my master printer will create the image for you and may need a week to produce it. His excellent work is worth the wait! You will be told exactly when it is being shipped and when to expect it to arrive.
We do not currently offer international shipping directly from the website at this time. If you would like to arrange an international purchase please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 480-463-4303.
What is your exchange/return policy for Original Oils?
We offer a 10-day exchange policy for Original Oils. You can return the painting for any reason within 10 days and exchange it for a different Original Oil painting from my collection. If you wish to exchange your piece, you are responsible for paying the return shipping, and the piece must arrive in good condition for an exchange to be processed. We do not offer refunds and do not exchange Original Oils for Prints.
If you wish to exchange your artwork, please contact us at email@example.com or 480-463-4303 to begin the process. You will receive an email with instructions within 24-48 hours. We will process your exchange and any financial adjustments within approximately 4 days after receiving the returned painting.
If you return your purchased original painting and cannot find an appropriate alternative in the current collection, Virginia Brooks Art offers Commissions as an option to create a piece that fits your needs. The purchase price of the returned Original will be applied to the cost of the Commission, excluding shipping costs.
We have never experienced an Original being damaged in shipping.
What is your exchange/return policy for Prints?
We offer a 10-day exchange policy for Prints, where you can return the Print for any reason within 10 days and exchange it for a different Print or put the value toward an Original Oil from my collection. If you wish to exchange your piece, you are responsible for paying the return shipping, and the Print must arrive in good condition for an exchange to be processed. We do not offer refunds.
