Come for a Visit
I am a very fortunate artist. I live in Carefree, Arizona…a pristine portion of the Sonoran Desert, about 30 minutes north of Phoenix and Scottsdale. If I never left my property I would still have a lifetime full of beautiful scenes to paint. We live on three acres of lush desert landscape, looking north toward the Continental Mountains.
My Studio
The studio is a peaceful place, very conducive to creativity. My award winning studio garden attracts birds, butterflies and painters. We border the Galloway Wash Preserve and often have visiting wildlife. I enjoy having people come to the studio and I host wine and art events during the cooler months. In November our local arts organization, the Sonoran Arts League, hosts the oldest and largest open studio tour in the Southwest. I am pleased to say that I am one of the people who founded The Hidden in the Hills Studio Tour twenty plus years ago.

Carefree and Cave Creek
Make a day trip to the Carefree and Cave Creek Foothills. I can help you plan what to see. We have outstanding gardens in the town center of Carefree, and excellent hiking trails in the Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. I’ll help you to find the best places for lunch, depending on your tastes. Perhaps an exceptional local restaurant or some down home cowboy fare in Cave Creek.

My studio and garden are ideal for one hour tours that include my workplace, my gallery and fun stories about what it’s like to live in a place called Carefree.
